October is Healthy Living Month @ Your Library!
All programs start at 2pm unless otherwise noted.

Tuesday, October 1, 2013:  Tools to Quit:  An intense 2 hour seminar providing you with the tools and resources to quit smoking/tobacco use on a self-guided path to success.  Free prizes for each participant.

Friday, October 4, 2013:  Strategies to Keep You Going:  Learn custom strategies to help you achieve what is important and specific steps to deal with transitions and challenges and help you develop a healthy outlook on life.

Monday, October 14, 2013, 11am:  Eye Health with Dr. Gilmer:  Board certified Dr. William gilmer will provide information regarding vision, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Tuesday, October 15:  Breast Cancer Awareness:  Breast cancer survivor and representative of the Florida Breast Cancer Institute tells her powerful story and provide a basic primer and statistics about the disease.

Friday, October 18:  Urban Sunshine:  Get educated and learn the health benefits of sprouting, juicing, wheatgrass, and raw foods, and how to grow your own sustainable food supply.

Tuesday, October 22:  Tea, Tisane, and Health:  Joyce Harris, Herbal Gourmet, will discuss the benefits and uses of teas and tisanes for a healthy lifestyle.

Friday, October 25:  The Benefits of Medicare:  Edith Clayter will discuss how Medicare can benefit those in need, including providing information on the various plans Medicare offers.

Monday, October 28, 11am:  Stress:  The Big and Big Big Picture:  Ed Eisler will present simple self stress relief methods that you can use to improve your health.  This presentation is based on his third book and a signing will follow the program.
