Afternoon at the Movies (All Films Start at 2 p.m.)

12/01/2014: Edge of Tomorrow, Rated PG-13, 113 minutes: Tom Cruise stars as a futuristic soldier who is killed during a battle with alien invaders, and lives out the last day of his life over and over again.  Bill Paxton and Emily Blunt also star.

12/08/2014: Jersey Boys, Rated R, 134 minutes: Adapted from the 2006 Tony Winner for Best Musical, this bittersweet saga dramatizes the rise and fall of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons - one of the key pop groups of the early '60s, responsible for such iconic hits as "Sherry," "Walk Like a Man" and "Big Girls Don't Cry."  Clint Eastwood directs.  Rated R for language throughout.

12/15/2014: Hundred Foot Journey, Rated PG, 122 minutes: An Indian teen in France goes to work for his father's culinary adversary in this drama based on the bestselling novel by Richard C. Morais. Helen Mirren stars.

12/22/2014: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Rated PG-13, 130 minutes: Ten years after a pandemic disease, apes who have survived it are drawn into battle with a group of human survivors. Gary Oldman, Keri Russel, and Andy Serkis star.

12/29/2014:When the Game Stands Tall, Rated PG, 115 minutes: The journey of legendary football coach Bob Ladouceur, who took the De La Salle High School Spartans from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport. Jim Caviezel, Alexander Ludwig, and Michael Chiklis star.
