December Friends and Library Programs


Monday Tai Chi at Your Library
Mondays - 10am

Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a tai chi (Wu Style) program, beginner thru advanced, including joint looseners, breathing exercises, Qigong and form training. This program is good for weight loss, fall prevention, increased bone density and increased overall muscle tone and stamina. This program repeats every Monday at 10am.

Debbie's Health Food presents "A Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Christmas"

Dr. Margo King will explain how gluten and genetically modified foods negatively affect our health, while Certified Chef Emily Mabe demonstrates how to prepare healthy and delicious holiday favorites using gluten-free and non-GMO ingredients. 


Country Singing Sensation Bobby Meeks

Master Gardener Plant Clinic 
Tuesday, December 13th - 2pm
Volusia County's master gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up.
Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows. For more information about the county's Master Gardener Program, call the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension at 386-822-5778.
