Flamenco/Classical Guitarist Gladius

Please join us as guitarist Gladius presents an afternoon of Flamenco and Classical music. Direct from South Georgia, Gladius is here at the Port Orange Regional Library to share his amazing talent with us.  

Sybil Gage presents Jazz of the 1920s and 1930s
Tuesday, February 7th - 2pm
Born and raised in New Orleans, Sybil Gage had front-row schooling in what makes that city great. Now living in Florida, Sybil is spreading New Orleans music to the rest of the world. The “Little Dynamo” is slinky in sequins and funky in fishnets. Gage has enjoyed a three-year residency at Heidi’s Jazz Club in Cocoa Beach. She’s also a regular performer at New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival and Noble Thin Man Watts Jazz Festival in DeLand.

Keeping It Sweet

Debbie’s Health Foods presents “Be My Healthy Valentine: Eat Better, Love Better!”. Crystal C. Fedele, AP of Holistic Women & Families Natural Health Center will talk about ways to use natural foods and other techniques to enhance hormonal health. Chef Emily Mabe will demonstrate how to prepare deliciously hormone-enhancing foods and healthy Valentine treats that are known to keep love alive! Free taste samplings!
Crystal has been practicing Natural Medicine for 11 years in the Daytona Beach area. She specializes in Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture for Pregnancy and Labor, and is also very well known for her success with fertility and gynecology. Crystal’s natural practice uses her vast knowledge in Integrative Medicine to preserve the balance and health of women through natural, non-invasive techniques. She focuses on helping to create pleasant cycles, healthy babies, peaceful births, and easy hormonal transitions through ancient medicine and empowerment through education.
Crystal graduated Suma Kum Laude from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Health Studies. She is also an adjunct professor at Daytona State College in the Massage Therapy Department.


Presidents and Their First Ladies, Dramatically Speaking

The veteran acting and writing team of William and Sue Wills will portray William Harding and Calvin Coolidge and their wives. The couple is in their 21st year of bringing to life the stories of 34 presidential couples. They have appeared together on stage over 8,800 times...and still counting. 

Master Gardeners Plant Clinic 
Tuesday, February 21st - 2pm 
Volusia County’s master gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up. Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows. Better Be Bear Aware
Tuesday, February 21st - 2pm
From the end of summer until the end of fall, black bears are much more active, meaning we are much more likely to see a bear. Bear mothers are out and about with their cubs at the end of summer, and in the fall bears are vigorously searching for food to prepare for the winter. This informative and educational program is loaded with tips on how to co-exist successfully with the Florida black bear. 

Dianne Jacoby presents "Miss Louisa's Boarding House"
Tuesday, February 28th - 2pm
Please join us as Dianne Jacoby portrays frontier Florida through the eyes of Louisa Fatio, a woman who survived the Seminole Indians, the bloody Patriot War, and pirates in 1800s Florida. Miss Louisa eventually opened a Boarding House in St. Augustine and enjoyed regaling her guests with tales of her adventures. She will share these adventures with us during this entertaining and enlightening performance.
