April Friends and Library Programs

The Embry-Riddle AcaFellas
Saturday, April 1st - 2pm
The AcaFellas are a group of young talented a cappella singers at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. These young men are devoted to entertaining the community with their talented voices and harmonies. The group is split into four parts: Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone, and Bass. With a large and diverse repertoire, the AcaFellas put a smile on the faces of audiences all over Daytona Beach and Central Florida. 

Monday Chair Yoga at the Library
Mondays at 10am
Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a Chair Yoga program, beginner through advanced. This program repeats every Monday at 10am. 

Science of Light with Allen Bestwick of the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse
Tuesday, April 4th - 2pm
Please join us as Allen Bestwick, Historic Interpreter for the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse teaches us all about the science of light and how it keeps ships safe when they're out at sea. While you're there, get a close up look at Fresnel lenses, gels, and other neat items that demonstrate the various principles of science related to light.

Adult Coloring with Kasey

Coloring isn't just for kids anymore. Supplies will be provided, or feel free to bring your own project!

Master Gardeners Plant Clinic: The Principles of Florida-Friendly Landscaping 
Tuesday, April 18th - 2pm 
More information about this program will be available at the Information Desk. Volusia County’s master gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up. Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows. Science Fiction Book Club
