Mondays at 10am
Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a Chair Yoga program, beginner through advanced. This program repeats every Monday at 10am. 

Stress, the Big Big Picture
Tuesday, October 3rd - 2pm

Stress is one of the leading causes of pain, illness, fatigue, and many other common maladies. Join us as Ed Eisler, local author, therapist, yoga instructor, and ergonomic specialist, presents simple self stress relief methods that you can use to improve your health. Mr. Eisler has over 20 years' experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and served as First VP and Sports Massage Team Coordinator for the Florida State Massage Therapy Association.

Maximize Your Health with VCPL's
Wednesday, October 4th - 10am
Join Librarian Kathryn Pase as she demonstrates the health-related eResources that are available through our website, volusialibrary.org.


Wednesday Tai Chi
Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a tai chi (Wu Style) program, beginner through advanced, including joint looseners, breathing exercises, Qigong, and form training. This program is good for weight loss, fall prevention, increased bone density, and increased overall muscle tone and stamina. This program repeats every Wednesday.

In this informative and timely program, Damarys Melendez, Associate Director of Programs for the Alzheimer's Association, Central and North Florida Chapter, helps you to understand what to look for and what assistance resources are available to you.

Adult Coloring for Relaxation
Thursday, October 12th - 10am - 12pm
Coloring isn't just for kids anymore. Supplies will be provided, or feel free to bring your own project!

Musical Group The PorchDogs
Friday, October 13th - 2pm
The PorchDogs have specialized in Louisiana Cajun and zydeco, swamp pop, and New Orleans R&B since 1992. They've had repeat or long-term engagements at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, Silver Springs, Cypress Gardens, Bok Tower Gardens, and other theme parks, and they regularly perform at the Florida State Fair, at the Iron Horse Saloon during Bike Week and Biketoberfest, and at many other festivals, fairs, and community events around Florida and beyond. Friday, October 13th at 2pm, they'll be here as a Louisiana Cajun and zydeco trio playing guitar, squeezebox, and fiddle. We hope to see you there!

Country Singing Sensation Bobby Meeks

Come join us for a blast to the past with County Music Singer Bobby Meeks!  Performing cover songs by Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Sr., Elvis Presley, Alan Jackson and many more.  Bobby will also be performing his original songs….which will prove that he is pure country at its best!
Master Gardeners Plant Clinic: Controlling Garden Pests
Tuesday, October 17th - 2pm
Volusia County’s master gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up.  Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows. Science Fiction Book Club

Join us for a discussion of City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett. The Science Fiction Book Club meets the third Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Computer Lab.
