Autumn Chair Yoga Series
November 4, 11, 18, and 25 – 10:30 a.m.
Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a Chair Yoga program, beginner thru advanced.

Celtic Fiddle Guru
November 5 – 2:00 p.m.
Join us in welcoming back Colin MacLeod, the Celtic Fiddle Guru. Colin has been playing fiddle since the age of 7 and travels the world playing, performing, and teaching. Whether competing in the Golden Fiddle Awards in Scotland, teaching at a String Camp in Tasmania, or playing over Mount Everest in Nepal, Colin's talent and enthusiasm are infectious.

DIY Wednesday—Butterfly House
November 6 – 10:00 a.m.
Butterflies use houses to keep them safe from the elements and predators. Paint a brightly colored butterfly house to attract butterflies to your garden! Supplies will be provided and registration is required.

Elder Law Series:  Veterans Benefits—A Part of Elder Care
November 7 – 11:30 a.m.
Erica Johnson, an attorney at law who specializes in Elder Law, continues her series of talks for seniors on how to prepare your legal and financial journey into the Golden Years.

Holiday Savings with Coupon Clipping

Healthy Living Group
November 9 and November 23 – 11:00 a.m.
Do you need to lose a few pounds, want to reverse diabetes, or learn how to make better food choices for optimal health?  Registered dietitian Sharon Herr will lead a group discussion on the benefits of healthy living and how you can get started on the path to good health.

Cooking Club
November 12 – 12:00 p.m.
Do you love to cook?  Join our club!  Our theme this month is Favorite Family Recipes. Bring a dish to share (appetizer, salad, main dish, side dish, or dessert) along with the recipe.

 The Price is Right, Library Style
November 12 – 2:00 p.m.
Come on down! Join us as the Port Orange Library staff bring the classic game show to the library. Cheer on others or join us on contestants’ row for a chance at winning one of our fabulous prizes! No registration required.

Genealogy Lab
November 13 – 9:30 a.m.
Familiar with Ancestry.com, Fold3, or Heritage Quest Online but need some assistance?  Register for our Genealogy Lab.  Use our laptops or your own for dedicated genealogy research with library databases.  Space is limited and registration is required.  Walk ins welcome if space is available.  This lab is a work-at-your-own-pace setting for those with some genealogy experience and is not a formal class.

Knitting Club
November 14 – 10:00 a.m.
Calling all knitters (and fans of other fiber arts), we’ve started a knitting club! Socialize and share your wisdom! Everyone from never-held-a-needle-novice to advanced knitters are welcome. Feel free to bring your own projects, or use our yarn and needles during the program!

Irene Curran Presents Louisa May Alcott
November 14 – 2:00 p.m. 
Come hear Irene Curran, retired L.A.L. teacher from N.J. and literary lecturer, speak on Louisa May Alcott, the extraordinary woman behind the beloved American classic, Little Women.  She will speak about the woman, the writer and the intellectual.

Writer’s Workshop:  Publishing Your Own Book
November 15 – 2:00 p.m.
In an increasingly digital world, self-publishing has become more commonplace and much easier. Local authors will discuss the merits of self-publishing and how to get started.

Ask a Master Gardener
November 19 – 2:00 p.m.
UF/IFAS Master Gardeners share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up.

Medical Care in Your Home

Join us as Mary Ann Seeley, RN, CHTP, of Halifax Health provides an overview of home health services including a history of home health and what you need to know when services are needed.

Painterrific—Paint a Fall Scene!
November 21 – 4:30 p.m. or November 22 – 10:00 a.m.
Have you wanted to try painting, but are waiting for the right chance to get your bristles wet? Unleash your inner artist and paint in a relaxed atmosphere. There is no experience necessary! All materials are supplied, but space is limited. Registration is required. Please sign up for either the pm or am session—the painting project is the same in each session.

Christmas with the Crooners

Kickoff the holiday season as Mark Raisch sings beloved Christmas classics in the styles of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and more!

Paper Craft Club

Come express your creativity and design something beautiful! Paper crafters of all skill levels are welcome and are encouraged to share their knowledge and skills with others. Use our supplies or feel free to bring your own!
