CANCELED - Angela Easterling "A Songwriter's Journey through American Music"
December 1 – 2:00 p.m.
Angela Easterling presents a performance of her own original songs interspersed with selections of classic folk, roots, country and rock tunes. Appropriate for all ages.

Writers Workshop: Children’s Author Presentations
December 3 – 2:00 p.m.
Join us as several local Children's book authors give entertaining performances centered around their books! All ages are welcome. The authors will also answer any writing questions you may have.

DIY Wednesday: Painted Wine Bottles
December 4 – 10:00 a.m.
Join us for a morning of crafting as we hand-paint designs on wine bottles!  Supplies will be provided and registration is required.

Holiday Photos
December 4 –5:30 p.m.
Stop by for a holiday portrait!  We’ll use an app and a digital green screen to create a seasonal photo.  Feel free to wear your holiday finery but try to avoid wearing green as this will interfere with the photo editing process.  Registration is required.  Limited to one per family.

Elder Law Series:  Wills, Trusts, and Why Estate Planning Matters

Erica Johnson, an attorney at law who specializes in Elder Law, concludes her series of talks for seniors on how to prepare your legal and financial journey into the Golden Years.

Holiday Crafting Lab
December 5 – 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
See how Maker Machines can be used to create holiday items. You'll see a demonstration of a Cricut, a Button-Maker, and more. Color bookmarks, create a Christmas Card for Soldiers, and make a gift box and bow with the Cricut. While supplies last.

Cooking Club
December 6 – 12:00 p.m.
Do you love to cook?  Join our club!  Our theme this month is Holiday Favorites. Bring a dish to share (appetizer, salad, main dish, side dish, or dessert) along with the recipe.

Adult Coloring Club
December 6 – 10:00 a.m.
Come join us for socializing and fun coloring! Several coloring pages will be available to choose from or you may bring your own.  We will have colored pencils and markers for you to use

Pop-Up Book Sale

Mark Twain for Christmas
December 6 – 2:00 p.m.
Presented by Mark Twain scholar Cindy Lovell, PhD.  Dr. Cindy Lovell, one of the country’s leading scholars on Mark Twain, will share some of her favorite holiday stories about Mark Twain and his family’s Christmas customs.  She will also talk about her very recent discovery of his long-sought boyhood signature on a wall inside the Mark Twain cave in Hannibal, Missouri.

Holiday Music and More!
December 8 – 2:00 p.m.
Feel free to sing along as vocalist and organist Jonathan Brady performs a wide variety of holiday favorites. He'll also sing jazz standards of the 1920’s through the 50’s and classic and soft rock tunes of the 50’s through the 80’s.

Autumn Chair Yoga

Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a Chair Yoga program, beginner through advanced.

Knitting Club

Calling all knitters (and fans of other fiber arts), we’ve started a knitting club! Socialize and share your wisdom! Everyone from never-held-a-needle-novice to advanced knitters are welcome. Feel free to bring your own projects, or use our yarn and needles during the program!

 Healthy Living Group
December 14 and 28 –11:00 a.m.
Do you need to lose a few pounds, want to reverse diabetes, or learn how to make better food choices for optimal health?  Registered dietitian Sharon Herr will lead a group discussion on the benefits of healthy living and how you can get started on the path to good health.

Ask a Master Gardener
December 17 – 2:00 p.m.:  . UF/IFAS Master Gardeners share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up. The Gardeners also present a brief talk on preparing your garden for the cold weather.

 Holiday DIY Craft
December  19 – 2:00 p.m.
Join us to create a beautiful angel using wine corks.  Supplies will be provided and registration is required.

Science Fiction Book Club
December 19 – 6:00 p.m.
This month’s book is Just One Damned Thing after Another by Jodi Taylor.
