JoAnn Maurice of Volusia/Flagler YMCA offers free blood pressure screenings here in the library the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

Master Gardener Plant Clinic

Volusia County's Master Gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during this plant clinic.  Residents may bring their plants for a free check-up.

The U.S. Lifesaving Service

Have you ever wondered who watched out for sailors and ships before the U.S. Coast Guard was formed?  Ponce De Leon Lighthouse Historic Interpreter Allen Bestwick presents a fascinating program about the U.S. Lifesaving Service and its history.  Join us to learn about how the Service was formed and its day-to-day activities until it merged with the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service in 1915 to become the U.S. Coast Guard.

Nutrition as We Age
