University of Florida/Volusia County Extension Master Gardeners share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic.  Residents may bring their plants for a free check-up.

Certified Fitness and Yoga Instructor Ed Eisler presents a talk and demonstration on Qigong, an internal Chinese meditative practice which often uses slow, graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to promote the circulation of qi within the human body and which enhances the practitioner's overall health.

Healthy Living and the Basics of Alzheimer's Disease

For centuries we've known that the health of the brain and the body are connected.  But now, science is able to provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age.  Join Damarys Melendez of the Alzheimer's Association, Central and North Florida Chapter to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.
