July Friends and Library Programs


Monday Chair Yoga at the Library
Mondays at 10am
Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a Chair Yoga program, beginner through advanced. This program repeats every Monday at 10am.

Wednesday Tai Chi
Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Join us as certified fitness instructor Ed Eisler leads us through a tai chi (Wu Style) program, beginner through advanced, including joint looseners, breathing exercises, Qigong, and form training. This program is good for weight loss, fall prevention, increased bone density, and increased overall muscle tone and stamina. This program repeats every Wednesday.

Organist and Vocalist Jonathan Brady
Sunday, July 2nd - 2pm
Celebrate the Fourth of July with Jonathan! Join us for a performance that includes smooth standards and patriotic songs. Feel free to sing along!


Adult Coloring for Relaxation
Thursday, July 13th - 10am - 12pm
Coloring isn't just for kids anymore. Supplies will be provided, or feel free to bring your own project!

Master Gardeners Plant Clinic: All About Trees
Tuesday, July 18th - 2pm
Volusia County’s master gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during the plant clinic. Residents can bring their plants for a free check-up.  Master gardeners are volunteers who answer gardening questions at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, present horticultural classes to community groups, and staff information booths at fairs and garden shows. For more information about the county’s Master Gardener Program, call the University of Florida/Volusia County Extension at 386-822-5778. 

Science Fiction Book Club
Thursday, July 19th - 6pm
Join us for a discussion of The Book of Ralph by Christopher Steinsvold. The Science Fiction Book Club meets the third Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Computer Lab.
