Sunday, July 12:00 p.m.: Sunday Cinema: The Pulitzer at 100. 91 minutes. Celebrates the centenary of this revered and seminal national award for literary excellence in journalism and the arts. The riveting tales of the winning artists give an insider's view of how these pinnacles of achievement are selected in the twenty-one categories and how the award has the power to change lives and communities.


Monday, July 2 2:00 p.m.: Afternoon at the Movies: Wonder. Rated PG, 113 minutes. Based on the best seller, this tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.

Friday, July 6 – 10:00 a.m.:  Summer Movie Series:  Planet 51. Rated PG, 1hr 31min.  An alien civilization is invaded by Astronaut Chuck Baker, who believes that the planet was uninhabited. Wanted by the military, Baker must get back to his ship before it goes into orbit without him. Stars:  Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott, Jessica Biel.
 

Sunday, July 8 – 2:00 p.m.: Documentary:  Hollywood Singing & Dancing, The 1940s:  Stars, Stripes, and Singing. 108 minutes. Documentary looking at the history of Hollywood musicals during the 1940s. Despite a World War taking place, this decade saw Hollywood produce over 550 movie musicals, many of which were produced by MGM, who became the leading studio in musical production with the help of directors Vincente Minnelli and Stanley Donen and producer Arthur Freed.

Monday, July 9 2:00 p.m. Afternoon at the Movies: Just Getting Started. Rated PG-13, 91 minutes. A two-hander action comedy in the vein of Midnight Run about an ex-FBI agent and an ex-mob lawyer in the witness protection program having to put aside their petty rivalry on the golf course to fend off a mob hit.  Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, and Rene Russo star.

Friday, July 13 – 10:00 a.m.:  Summer Movie Series:  Journey 2:  The Mysterious Island. Rated PG, 1hr 34min. Sean Anderson partners with his mom's husband on a mission to find his grandfather, who is thought to be missing on a mythical island. Stars:  Josh Hutcherson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine.
 
Monday, July 16 2:00 p.m. Afternoon at the Movies: Forever My Girl. Rated PG, 108 minutes. After being gone for a decade, a country star returns home to the love he left behind.
 
Friday, July 20 – 10:00 a.m.:  Summer Movie Series:  Tooth Fairy. Rated PG, 1hr 41min. A bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy. Stars:  Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Judd, Julie Andrews. 
Sunday, July 22 – 2:00 p.m.: Documentary:  Hollywood Singing & Dancing, The 1950s:  The Golden Era of the Musical. 104 minutes.  This installment in the Hollywood Singing and Dancing documentary series takes a look at the musicals of the 1950's, exploring the boom in Hollywood that took place after the relief and recovery of WWII. Boldly experimenting with new techniques, both technically and creatively, filmmakers would find the decade to be revolutionary, especially after the explosion of rock and roll.  

Monday, July 23 2:00 p.m. Afternoon at the Movies: Wonderstruck. Rated PG, 117 minutes. Tells the tale of two deaf children separated by fifty years. In 1927 New York City, Rose searches for the actress whose life she chronicles in her scrapbook; in 1977 in the Midwest, Ben runs away from home to find his father. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Brian Selznick, which is the predecessor to his screen-adapted novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret.
 
Friday, July 27 – 10:00 a.m.:  Summer Movie Series:  Central Intelligence. Rated PG-13, 1hr 47min. After he reconnects with an awkward pal from high school through Facebook, a mild-mannered accountant is lured into the world of international espionage. Stars:  Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Danielle Nicolet.
 

Sunday, July 29 – 2:00 p.m.:  Documentary:  Hollywood Singing & Dancing, The 1960s:  A Musical Metamorphosis.  142 minutes. Discover how the musical flourished after the Hollywood studio system fell as host Shirley Jones leads viewers on a magical journey through the musicals of the 1960s. It was the decade that gave us West Side Story and My Fair Lady, but it was also the time when rock and roll was steadily gaining mainstream success.

Monday, July 30 – 2:00 p.m.: Afternoon at the Movies: Samson. Rated PG-13, 110 minutes. After losing the love of his life to a cruel Philistine prince, a young Hebrew with Supernatural strength defends his people, sacrificing everything to avenge his love, his people, and his God.
