June 2022 Programs

 

Ask a Master Gardener.  2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 21.  UF/IFAS Master Gardeners will share gardening tips and answer questions during the Ask a Master Gardener session.  Genealogy Interest Group. 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 24. This is an informal space where you can meet and work with other family historians in a small group setting. Basic assistance with genealogy research is available. Feel free to bring your own laptop or device.  Please call 386-322-5152, option 4 to reserve a library laptop.  A very limited number are available for reservation, so call soon!  Reservations are not required to attend the session.

Protecting the Florida Manatee. 2 p.m. Friday, June 24. Learn about the history and biology of the Florida Manatee and hear about some of the threats they face. Participants will get an up- close look at real manatee bones and learn about some of the way organizations are working to help preserve these animals and their environment.  You’ll leave with a new appreciation of this gentle creature whose scientific name Sirenia often links manatees to mermaids.  Reservations are not required.  For more information, please call the library at 386-322-5152, option 4.

 Paper Craft Club plus Adult Coloring. 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28Come express your creativity and design something beautiful! Paper crafters of all skill levels are welcome and are encouraged to share their knowledge and skills with others. Use our supplies or feel free to bring your own! Now including adult coloring!
